Payroll is processed on a monthly basis. To receive your first payment the month you are starting, you must complete all Workday tasks by the 9th of the month. If your information is submitted after the 10th, you'll receive payment the following month. You can view more details regarding payroll here.

It is vital that you do all your Workday Tasks to be included in the payroll.

You will receive an email from Workday titled “Welcome to HubSpot Onboarding!” with all the relevant information to complete the below pre-arrival tasks.

• Date of Birth
• City of Birth
• Nationality
• Irish Address: Please ensure you provide an Irish address via Workday, if you are new to Ireland and hold only a temporary address, please provide this and when you receive your permanent address please amend the details in Workday.
• PPSN⁠ — If employees don't provide a PPSN, they will be subject to the Emergency tax
• Bank Details: Payroll can facilitate salary payments to non Irish bank accounts provided the account of your choice is a EURO / SEPA bank account. If you are a new hire and would like your salary to be paid to a non Irish EURO account, or you are a transfer from another HubSpot entity and would like to input Irish bank details, please email payroll@hubspot.com outlining the country where your bank account is held.

HubSpot has an agreement with AIB bank if you are awaiting a PPSN or proof of Irish address. Our HR team can provide you with an employment verification letter for the bank and they will activate your account within 24 hours. Please email benefits@hubspot.com if you require an employment verification letter prior to your first day of employment.

The following are the main banks in Ireland. It may be useful to research the type of account you wish to open and the fastest way to do so.

Banks are typically open Monday to Friday 10 AM – 4 PM.

In order to set up a bank account, you must provide any two of the following identification documents, along with your PPSN:

• Valid/non-expired passport or driving license
• Recent utility bill (proof of address)
• Character reference (HubSpot’s employment verification letter)
• Bank statement from a current foreign account

There is currently a high demand for rental accommodations in Dublin, especially in areas close to the city centre. If you don’t have an apartment organized prior to your arrival in Ireland, you may wish to find some short-term accommodation in the city before you find your own housing. Several great options are the Generator Hostel in Smithfield, which has dormitory beds and private rooms, or Barnacles Hostel in Temple Bar.

Before you begin your housing hunt, it is important to be prepared for house/apartment viewings with documents such as proof of employment, previous landlord references, and the ability to promptly pay a security deposit and first month’s rent upfront.

The majority of rental properties will require you to sign a 12-month lease to legally protect themselves. This is a legally binding contract that confirms you will stay for the duration and pay the 12 month’s rent. If you leave prior to the end of your lease, you are not entitled to your security deposit. A landlord will most likely need your PPSN to register your tenancy, if they are fully registered. It is important to enter into an agreement with a Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB) registered landlord to protect your rights as a tenant.

Note: If you move into a house that is already occupied, it is more likely to be on a rental freeze/have lower rent vs. moving into an unoccupied space where the landlord is in the position to increase the rental price. Find additional information about renting a home here.

In line with local regulations, we ask all of our new hires in Ireland to upload work authorization documents to a right-to-work check software called GoVerify, operated by our external vendor Deloitte.

The GoVerify tool is a digital right-to-work check that provides you with a step-by-step guide to confirming your work authorization. Please keep a lookout for an email from GoVerify over the coming days, kick-starting your right-to-work check.
